Sources[edit]

This is just a reminder to all editors that all sources used to support claims in the article must be reliable. At this time there are a number of sources in the article that are not reliable. The problem at this time is disqus.com, a site that hosts discussion forums, is user generated and has no clear editorial policy. Anyone is able to create a discussion forum on disqus and claim to be an expert in a field, while remaining anonymous. This is a clear violation of WP:SPS which says "Anyone can create a personal web page ... and also claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason, self-published media, such as ... personal websites, open wikis, personal or group blogs (as distinguished from newsblogs), ... Internet forum postings, and social media postings, are largely not acceptable as sources.}} (some words have been removed for brevity). This argument, for retention of the sources, is unnaceptable, for several reasons:

  • The author, I assume, is supposed to be "Son of the Bronx". After several discussions, there has never been any consensus as to whether this source is reliable or not. There is certainly no consensus that "Son of the Bronx" qualifies as "an expert in a field" so this is not an exemption to linking to "Internet forum postings".
  • The notes added to the article say "Since the website doesn't exist anymore, this URL is the only way to access the comments section" - If the website doesn't exist any more, then the posts cannot be verified. What website? The website being linked to is disqus.com, which does indeed still exist. Looking back through the article's history, a number of the citations were added on 22 November[1] and were never linked to any website other than disqus. There is therefore no way to verify the actual identity of the poster.
  • The notes further state "This is NOT a forum, and NOT a message board" - It certainly looks like one, and there is no evidence that it is not. WP:SPS says that Internet forum postings are largely not acceptable as sources. There is no evidence these are not Internet forum postings, none of the posters are established experts and so there is no justification for retaining any of the citations.

There are already citations in the episode tables for viewer figures. These also support some of the other figures used in the table so there is no reason that these cannot be used in place of the existing citations, even if it means amending the table appropriately. I have already raised this at WP:RSN and there has been no support for these citations, only agreement as to the lack of appropriateness. --AussieLegend () 09:17, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This should be cleaned up as soon as possible. I'll see what I can do. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 01:40, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
