Relationship to Marbo Basket, KFUM Borås and M7 Borås

I'm not sure about this club's relationship to Jonas Jerebko's first club, Marbo Basket. The latter one won the 2005/06 season of the Swedish second division BasketEttan, but didn't get promoted to the first division, the Basketligan (maybe for financial reasons?). Despite losing in the semifinals of the following BasketEttan season, the club, according to eurobasket.com, participated in the 2007/08 Basketligan season. The next season, however, it was replaced by Borås Basket. But it's not the same club just moving from Kinna to Borås, since Marbo Basket still exists (according to the Swedish Wikipedia, its women's team currently plays in Sweden's first division; there's also a website which proudly states that it's Jonas Jerebko's former club). So the most probable explanation is that the men's team of Borås Basket took over Marbo Basket's spot in the first division, for whatever reason, which wouldn't be unusual in European basketball. Another question is if Borås Basket had already existed before. Basketpedya lists the clubs M7 Borås and Borås Basket as the same club. The Swedish Wikipedia doesn't (the Basketligan's all-time table lists M7 Borås and Borås Basket separately; please also note that it doesn't list Marbo Basket, which adds to my confusion), instead referring to Borås Basket's former name KFUM Borås. Since basketpedya often confuses datas like these, and since the URL www.kfumboras.nu leads to the website of Borås Basket, I would assume that the Swedish Wikipedia is right and that M7 Borås is a different club. This source, however, states that M7 Borås is made up of Marbo Basket and KFUM Borås, indicating that both of these clubs haven't had an independent basketball department (at least on the men's senior level) since 1992. Clubs are not owned in Sweden

The text now states "Johnson also became a co-owner of the club". That can hardly be true. Swedish sports clubs are generally not owned by anybody else than their members. It was even more so 20 years ago, when Johnson was involved with the Borås basketball team of that time. Whether it at all can be regarded the same team then as now, is another serious issue, as another commenter noted 10 years ago. Fomalhaut76 (talk) 13:31, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
