The Same Name?[edit]

Are the Swedish and Maltese names actually related or is it just an accident of spelling? The two names are not pronounced in the same way, the Swedish name has a hard g sound while the Maltese has a soft g sound.

If they share a common origin then maybe someone could add a paragragh explaining the connection if they can find a good source. I found this http://www.surnamedb.com/Surname/Borg but don't think it's a sufficient quote. User:Boreas74 ^Talk 20:53, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
