Name[edit]

I have removed a bunch of wrong ids from the chembox. But it does leave the problem of the name. "Boron monoxide" should refer to BO, and this page should be called "diboron monoxide". Looking through literature, "Boron monoxide" appears always to be BO. the CAS entry https://commonchemistry.cas.org/detail?cas_rn=12045-60-2 appears to have errors in it, but SMILES, inchi, and molecular formula all make this as BO, and only the name given has B2O attached. Anyway I removed that one. Perhaps someone can find an entry for BOB in CAS. Hopefully some who have this page on their watchlist can chime in. I agree with what Graeme has stated. This is diboron monoxide. Boron monoxide is a distinct compound, which is actually also cited erroneously in this page. The dehydration of tetrahydroxydiboron produces BO, not B2O. 147.155.82.15 (talk) 17:42, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
