Dead? Or vandalism?[edit]

Article now reads that Braintax died yesterday :/ Can anyone confirm this? 81.149.196.186 (talk) 16:14, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK I now have this confirmed from a reliable source that he ISNT dead. I don't know how/dont have the ability to revert the changes. IF anyone is watching this page I would be grateful if they could make the needed changes. 86.130.76.18 (talk) 20:27, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that he is dead, we have to have a source whatever. if you look at the history of a page you can undo other people's changes. Smartse (talk) 23:30, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name 'Braintax'[edit]

Shouldn't the head of the article be called Joseph Christie as Braintax is merely a pseudonym, also more importantly Braintax was a due act, I believe when Fat Head EP was made this was still the case - the other artist's name should be recognised if anyone can find it. Tony2Times 15:08, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I think the article should be called Braintax as this name is synonymous with, and more widely known than Joe Chrsitie. I've amended the article to include the other original member, DJ T.E.S.T. Gram 13:35, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Braintax didn't rap about the Iraq war on Birofunk - the album was released before September 11th 2001!

Actually he made a references about the Twin Towers, and insisted the songs were recorded before 9-11, however the album was released AFTER 9-11. Gazh 22:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Braintax Production Credits[edit]

I've been trying to think of ways to expand the article, maybe a list of songs Braintax has produced would be interesting? I will begin a list below that we can all contribute to and when it comes more comprehensive we can add it to the article. Gazh 11:31, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First Joint

Hasn't J. Christie produced most all of all his own songs (Braintax/Biro Funk), not just the four listed? —Christopher Mann McKayuser talk 17:24, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. He ofcourse wrote all the lyrics, which is why 'J. Christie' appears on the credits, but as for the actually track, he produced just the four listed. Gazh 22:16, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I added some more songs he produced from The Travel Show and Future YearsChristopher Mann McKaytalk 06:18, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Brilliant, i don't have this one, guessing it wasn't released in CD format. If you're feeling brave enough Christopher you can add it to the article! Gazh 11:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be better to leave it on the album articles and keep it off the main article. I will create some more articles for the rest of the albums later this month. —Christopher Mann McKaytalk 07:01, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify my last comment: I meant I think we should keep the songs I added to the list above, which Braintax produced on Braintax's own albums, off the Braintax article, as they are already referenced on their respective album articles. I'm not opposed to referencing Braintax being a producer of other artists on this article; I’ll add it later if no one else does. —Christopher Mann McKaytalk 08:13, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK. FYI, I've removed 'Escuchame' as it was produced by Bengrymm according to Biro Funk. Gazh 18:00, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Born in Leeds?[edit]

I remember reading ages ago that Braintax was born and lived in rural Yorkshire until his family later moved to Leeds, but i can't find the link to source it, anyone know about this ? Gazh 11:42, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add something about rapping in the 80's[edit]

"I've been rapping since the Toxteth riots so you newjack american wannabes need to stay quiet" - Braintax on Opening Titles. 167.1.176.4 (talk) 13:21, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Money[edit]

No mention of his alleged taking of other artists money on low life when he disappeared? should there be? Both Chester P and Lewis Parker have talked about it in interviews...it would be a way to extend the article. [1] [2]

I came here also to ask if this is worth mentioning, Skinnyman has also spoke about it too, which makes at least three very, very influential people in the british hip-hop scene to publicly talk about this. SP00KYtalk 16:25, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
