CCHT external link[edit]

This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. (This will take some years to do). Laplacemat (talk) 10:51, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted section about Brampton Weather[edit]

I had updated the pages this evening and added some weather data. All the data is 100% accurate from the Met Office station I manage. Sadly the new pages were deleted by a moderator. I'm now being accused of being a vandal. This is clearly untrue. Just trying to update a page about my home town. Can anyone help. Thanks Paul PaulACrabtree (talk) 20:03, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As a reader I would expect to find weather information in the article for a region or maybe a major city, but not for every smaller settlement. On the other hand, the introductory sentence (in this version) stating that there is an official Met weather station does give the reader the context to understand why the section is included here, so it's not jarring. ⁓ Pelagicmessages ) 21:09, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
