Italic title[edit]

I asked User:JoJan why did he put the title in italics.--Tangopaso (talk) 12:24, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The answer will have been because scientific names are typeset in italics. Peter coxhead (talk) 09:43, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of Brasiliopuntia brasiliensis here[edit]

There was formerly a separate article on the sole species, Brasiliopuntia brasiliensis. Following the policy of WP:PLANTS on monotypic taxa (genera with a single species have only an article under the genus), I have merged any relevant information here and made the species article a redirect. The only information I did not use was that "cuija" is a common name for the species in Spanish: (a) I can't source this fact (b) it doesn't seem to be particular to the species. If it can be sourced, it should be added back. Peter coxhead (talk) 09:43, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
