So...from this article this page should probably be titled "Rocker-Mets fans rivalry". There's nothing here about the *teams* being rivals, therefore I support its deletion. -Dewelar (talk) 17:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Delete the fucker.

The rivalry is fairly important, but I think Braves fans have just as heated a rivalry with the Yankees due to the 2 World Series in the 90s...and their team obviously plays the Yankees a lot less. I agree, this article has not been worked on for a while and has no references. Half of the article is about the Braves rivalry with the Yankees. In its current state, this article is very poorly written. Arnabdas (talk) 17:23, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

9/11 Game mentionable?

Causes

I recently created a section on the causes for the rivalry. Do you think it is necessary? I think so because the division realignment was one of the reasons for it. SNIyer12, (talk), 01:23, 12 August, 2010 (UTC)

Deletion

This article is horribly written. Obviously people don't think it is notable enough to be brought up to date. Why have garbage? The only image is of Joe Torre in a Yankee uniform and most of the article is about the Yankees. I don't like deleting articles, but it seems nobody is willing to update this properly. Might it be better to phrase this in the past tense? Since the teams are in the same division it may be pertinent to bring it up again in the future, but the teams haven't really been rivals, in my view, since 95-05. It's definitely noteworthy (especially in the 9/11 context) but I don't think it's fair to say it is a rivalry as opposed to was a rivalry. This opinion is colored by a recent re-reading of articles of deletion about it, so ignore me if you think my opinion is off. Spelf (talk) 20:24, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
