'not a condiment'?[edit]

What's with the sentence at the end of the first paragraph? "It is not a condiment." (added 16:00, 17 December 2012)

Bread sauce seems to me to fit the definition of a condiment, and I would class it as such. Can anyone justify the statement that it isn't?
