This page looks like an Left PoV whitepaper on Brinda Karat's life :"when she returned she knew". Does not subscribe to the wikipedia standards of quality. Someone Kindly update with more objective viewpoint.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.140.37.2 (talkcontribs) .

You need the condemnation to show the aftermath of her attack on Baba Ramdev and how she hurt the sentiment of Hindus. The left backed down on the issue after that, therefore there is no counter-response.Bakaman%% 15:00, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense. The wordings on the controversy are like copied from a Hindutva website. Why is there no actual main stream media references on the issue? Why has the pro-RSS editors not chosen to write a single line on how the issue started? (as a labour conflict, with Ramdev's own volunteers striking for minimum wage) why is there no mention that the claim of human body parts was brought up not by karat, but by the dismissed volunteers? why is there no mention that the test made on Ramdevs medicines confirmed presence of animal substances? And finally, please talk about Hindus as a politically uniform group or claim that RSS has the right to speak on behalf of Hindus worldwide. --Soman 15:08, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
See [1] for a comprehensive overview of the issue. --Soman 15:12, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Moreover, the wording 'otherwise supportive' is purely fictional. CPI(M) gives conditional support the UPA government. But the Congress and CPI(M) are hardly that close, and are in fierce competion in the Left-ruled states. --Soman 15:15, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For CPI(M):s viewpoint see [2], [3], [4], [5]. --Soman 15:20, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but Sharad Pawar, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and N.D. Tiwari have all condemned the attack. Please don't tell me these people are even remotely good Hindus (especially Yadav). Even Ambika Soni, high ranking member of Sonia Gandhi's circle supported the Baba. They just saw the sense in the argument of Baba Ramdev. No one except for the commies supports Karat.Bakaman%% 15:22, 29 July 2006 (UTC) Otherwise supportive. Both the Congress and the Commies hate the BJP and both play vote-bank politics and try to discredit anything Indian. The congress realized their mistakes. The commies are just angry that they got served by the Baba.Bakaman%% 15:26, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This just gets more and more bizarre. Demanding fair wages for workers = discrediting India? Who's discrediting who? --Soman 15:28, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair wages! She just hates Ramdev and yoga. She's bought up by pharma companies.Bakaman%% 15:30, 29 July 2006 (UTC) Oh and Ramdev was found innocent. BBC StoryBakaman%% 15:34, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ramdev is not affiliated with any political party. The CONGRESS party (rulers of Uttaranchal) also strongly condemned the attack. Please don't tell me the congress party is a protector of Hindutva. Did you see D. Pratap's quote? (Link 4). That sounds like STRONG language to me. The whole episode showed Karat and the CPI9M)'s true colors (Red)Bakaman%% 16:00, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Who was it that burned Karat's effigy? You must differentiate between protest and disagreeing. The fact that Congress leaders distanced themselves from Karat could rather be seen as a tactic on their behalf not the get their share of condemnation. --Soman 05:08, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

controversy section[edit]

Its well sourced. I see no need for vandalism on the part of users. The Baba Ramdev page, is nearly half devoted to controversy. Brinda Karat's remarks (and allegations she is merely a tool of Coca-Cola and other MNC's) were far reaching.Bakaman Bakatalk 00:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
