Does anyone know where the ramjets (Thor, Odin) were produced? Bristol or Coventry? Andy Dingley (talk) 12:24, 9 April 2008 (UTC) Hi there - I think both Thor and Odin were produced in Rodney Works, at Filton, Bristol - they were fabrications of metal sheet (apart from the control system components) similar in manufacturing engineering style to gas turbine combustion chambers which were also made there for many years. New additions

While I understand the new additions were added by a new editor, that is no reason to keep badly formatted and/or OR matierial in the article. The products list need to be that - just a list, leaving the deatails to the product articles. I'll try to clean this up in the next day or two, and re-add it properly. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 10:51, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Which is exactly what I was doing if you look at the very recent edit history, as I added the products in list format and removed all the non-relevant ones an edit conflict ensued and this was lost. I even got thanked for my work on my talk page. Two hours wasted. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 11:04, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
My apologies, but an inuse-tag before you began your work would have been helpful. I don't have to be the person to re-do the page, but I'm willing to do it today as I have time. - BilCat (talk) 11:10, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
I did wait 20 minutes after your last edit before stepping in, as I thought you'd moved on at that point. The edit history shows you made several edits in the past 2 hours, with bot edits intersperesed, and that work is still accessible. Were there more edits that were lost? - BilCat (talk) 11:17, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Whatever, I've restored the crap. Someone else can mess with it, what difference does it make anyway - it's not like WP is actually respected enough that this page will harm its reputation! And who cares if it's a probable copyvio? Patroninzing new users is more important than not breaking the law. - BilCat (talk) 11:22, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Cars

Just in passing it appears that when the company was formed it also included Bristol Cars and Armstrong Siddeley Motors although the article makes no mention of it producing cars. MilborneOne (talk) 20:00, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Also note Bristol Cars was sold in 1960 after the company decided to stop building Armstrong Siddeley cars. MilborneOne (talk) 20:05, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
I have added a motor car section. MilborneOne (talk) 20:39, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
