2010 results[edit]

The 2010 swings are wrong - they are calculated from the old boundaries. Fig (talk) 15:55, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They are referenced to the BBC site[1], which compared with the notional 2005 result using the new boundaries. If tha actual 2055 result had been used the swing would have been slightly larger.[2] –– Jezhotwells (talk) 17:06, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Avon[edit]

The maps in the infobox actually relate to Avon, not Bristol. Although Avon is a pre-1996 county, it seems that Wikipedia articles about parliamentary constituencies in general do use the old (1974-96) counties. I'm not sure whether this is a mistake or whether it's still official to use the old counties for parliamentary purposes - as is also the case with police and fire authorities, for example - but anyway I've changed it back to Avon to be consistent.
