Ratings[edit]

Anyone able to find last weeks tv rating numbers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.172.52.254 (talk) 17:50, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Synopsis[edit]

Could someone please pen a reasonable synopsis for this series? The one that keeps being added is an offensive critique of the show rather than an impartial analysis of it. I implemented a simple synopsis mirroring the opening paragraph in its stead.

Broad City is an American television show that is loosely based on the real lives of Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. It is a comedy featuring two twenty-something Brooklyn gals bopping around the city ensuing many laughs with their fun stories and foibles. Topics include love, dating, music, art shows, startups, co-ops, trendy restaurants, and more. EJonesMgmt (talk) 09:59, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jew-ish[edit]

Just wondering the significance of the hyphen added to Jewish. Wickorama (talk) 09:22, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages aren't forums, but it's a frequent joke on the show and elsewhere to make a pun about non-practicing but still identifying Jews to call themselves Jew-ish instead of Jewish. See wikt:-ish. JesseRafe (talk) 14:52, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Guest stars[edit]

Does that section need to be there? Are these appearances particularly notable, as to which justifies its inclusion?-Xcuref1endx (talk) 15:33, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It has become out-of-hand. Almost every episode has one. Similarly on the Workaholics page. They both could be culled with no great loss. Amy Poehler being on it is significant, given her relationship to the show, but the others are just random working actors and comedians. JesseRafe (talk) 16:43, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I agree in spirit, but there has to be away to neutrally determine which guest stars are notable and which are not. Hillary Clinton, I assume would definitely be notable.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:19, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, there should be a guest star section with notable like you said, instead of having every guest star ever on the show. Vmars22 (talk) 16:08, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to "Broad City (TV Series)" to conform to other article conventions for TV shows[edit]

This would have been my first Wikipedia edit, and all I wanted to do was rename the article to "Broad City (TV Series)" to conform to the convention of other shows I've been researching.

I haven't found a way to do that easily, and suspect one would have to remove and create from new because the article title seems to be more or less permanent.

Well, I certainly don't want something like that to be my first Wikipedia edit, so I'm asking someone more experienced than I to do it. I've gotten used to searching in <title> (TV Series) to quickly find what I'm looking for, and was thrown by this article not being found.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ntsc525 (talkcontribs) 18:04, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's only needed when there are other things with the same name to disambiguate from. Jim Michael (talk) 11:36, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
