Addition of Two Subsections: "Analysis" and "Reception"[edit]

The article is very short and does not contain any mention of scholarship that has been done on the book, which exists. The reference section of this article only contains links to the awards the book has won, so adding information on the analysis of the verse novel and the reception by critics will help to bolster the article and the reference section, as well as illuminate some of the reasoning for the book's decorations. Proposed Changes To Article[edit]

I plan on editing this article. In my edits, I have a few goals. First, I intend to rewrite the plot section of this article, as there are some key plot points missing, as well as some biases written into the description that do not directly reflect the text. Next, I would like to bolster this article by adding new sections. Namely, I will create sections for "Genre", "Analysis", and "Reception", and I also plan to move the awards section as a subsection of the reception section. I intend to have significant coverage for the Analysis and Reception sections to make sure the article is well balanced. I will also rewrite the lead section to reflect the new structure of the article. With these changes I hope to make the Brown Girl Dreaming article more up to standard with Wikipedia's guidelines for books. Please see my bibliography for more details of my intended changes. ~~~~ Mcm2001 (talk) 04:23, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
