Brownqueen comes from the name of the woods that the tunnel runs under. I know that doesnt help much! Talskiddy (talk) 07:27, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
After a bit of digging, I found a reference that says 'Brown Queen' is a corruption of the Cornish words 'Bron Gwyn' which translates into English as 'White mound' [1] Talskiddy (talk) 08:10, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
