Move this page[edit]

I vote to move this to a section on another new page about animals using augmented speech. This would also help with writing about Otter (Bunny's dog brother), since he's been shoehorned into this article rather awkwardly.

Alternatively, there could be a new page about the TheyCanTalk study, or about Alexis Devine. Comfy195 (talk) 13:37, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose move - This has been a stable article that was vetted through AfC, and is on a subject that meets our notability criteria for a stand-alone article. It has historically been well sourced, that is until Comfy195 added two blocks of unsourced content including the "awkwardly shoehorned" text mentioned above. If the editor wants to create two new pages TheyCanTalk and/or Alexis Devine, that's fine but it is not a valid rationalle for a move. Netherzone (talk) 15:41, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Too trusting of Owners claim?[edit]

I feel like this page has an issue with being impartial, primarily because it presents the owner's claim uncritically and makes no mention of the very real possibility this is a staged or more heavily trained behavior. ConnieC420 (talk) 23:19, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. At the very least I'm adding information about the scientific research being done. It's described in the present tense, but there doesn't appear to be any recent publications or posts from UCSD or TheyCanTalk.org in the last 2 years. 2601:449:4200:3840:398F:968F:2E84:27FF (talk) 15:07, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
