Wikipedia has a page listing the 100 largest UK law firms, of which Burges Salmon is one. Given that there is further information about other firms in the list it stands to reason that there should be further information relating to Burges Salmon.Burges Salmon (talk) 10:55, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing[edit]

Footnote #2, which consists simply of the word "Hemscott", is not useful as a reference to verify the claim that "Hemscott rates Burges Salmon as one of the top law firms providing legal advice to FTSE100 listed companies." Wikipedia:Citing sources gives some pointers on how and when to provide detailed full citations. In addition, the assertion that "In the 1920s partner Wilfred Scammell wrote The Law of Agricultural Holdings and brought national recognition for the firm's agricultural practice" is unattributed. Who says it brought national recognition to the firm? A source needs to be provided to substantiate such a claim. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:05, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Updates/tags[edit]

I've updated the page to remove the reference to Hemscott as they have reviewed their rankings. I've also added a reference to the Bristol Law Society website which substantiates the claim that it is the oldest law society.

There has been no more tags of conflict of interest, and the page has been updated by users other than myself. Given that can the conflict of interest tag, and the lack of references tag please be removed? billythefishBillythefish (talk) 15:22, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
