Compilation album[edit]

Recent edits on Bon Jovi pages are purely opinion-based. The album Burning Bridges is a full-fledged studio album, as it was marketed, released, and listed as such on the band's website. A compilation album is either an album with songs which were released previously, remixes, or an album with various artists. The album has songs that were written, and worked on before, but finished and released by the band in 2015. Also, Billboard promoted it as a studio album, the label promoted it as a studio album, the producer said here and here, just to link a few times, that the songs are all new. Even Jon Bon Jovi said it a few times. Yet some stubborn keeps editing and saying they're a compilation album based in who knows what. --190.194.166.16 (talk) 20:07, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't know why this is, but an editor has again reverted the edit back to state that this album is a 'compilation' though it is not a collection of old songs, nor a remix album, nor a greatest hits. I think that the references provided above verify that this album is a full-fledged studio album. The record producer himself stated via his Twitter that the album is all new songs.

    • This is an ongoing inconsistency within the site's Bon Jovi pages, as it is listed as a compilation album on the album's page as well as on the Bon Jovi discography page. These inconsistencies further make the following album This House is Not For Sale inaccurate as the band's studio album count is now off. This is something that I can see has been corrected multiple times, and discussed on various talk pages here on Wikipedia, and yet some stubborn editor is continuously reverting it back, though they have not done so with sources/references to their edits. This is not in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines of edits like these in which there is a dispute over accuracy. Where the editors have shown that it is a studio album, shouldn't that be the case with this edit?

  • There are so many sources which call and classify the album as a studio album; with these legitimate sources who report based on band announcements, what's the argument? It's called studio album here, here, here, and here. That in addition to Producer/guitarist (on the album) John Shanks verified on his Twitter account that the songs are all NEW recordings, though some of the songs were written for other albums (see here). All of these references should be more than enough to call the album a 'studio album'.

THIS IS THE 13TH STUDIO ALBUM![edit]

Please list it as a studio album not a compilation album. The Dweeb.30 (talk) 20:43, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Compilation or studio album[edit]

I haven't seen throughout the article why is this considered a compilation album apart of a Bon Jovi statement that it was a "fan album". There should be a third party source for this kind of labels. Ping Bowling is life for comment.--Retrohead (talk) 22:57, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
