Separate page for the Local Government Area[edit]

As per discussion at Talk:List of Sydney suburbs, I have created a separate page for Burwood Council, the Local Government Area. -- Ianblair23 05:41, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Schools[edit]

Someone should list the schools in the area. TeePee-20.7 06:19, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AC/DC[edit]

Having photos of pop stars who happened to be raised in the suburb for part of their life in an article about this suburb is making this article look ridiculous. Which other suburb/town/city from around the world features celebrities that live there in the article on wikipedia? I think the focus of these articles is being lost if you keep adding frivolous items like this. J Bar (talk) 02:49, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The photos do not improve the article. I'm not actually convinced that the list of notable residents is that helpful either, but I'm sure of the photos. Get rid of them, please. --Merbabu (talk) 04:51, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, my bad. ***Adam*** 06:46, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Burwood, New South Wales/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

"This long association had led to a harmonious relationship between the indigenous inhabitants and their environment which was rudely interrupted by the arrival of the British in 1788"

This comment is not really a factual one, but more an emotive one that seems more in-line with current revisionist Australian history than stating a factual point. I believe it should be re-written to remove the emotive statements.

The image titled as "Burwood Post Office" is technically not correct as the building has for quite some time been vacated by Australia Post & is currently empty (recently used as a clothing outlet).
