2008 in film[edit]

the Year in Film articles are decidedly too American. We need to get this article up to a higher standard so that we can start adding asian films to the Year in Film pages. I'm going to work on cataloging the awards granted, we'll need to make pages for many of the directors and for some of the feature films, for sure. I agree that the aforementioned article is too American which even does not have British/Europe films much. (no mention of Asian film..)--Appletrees (talk) 05:04, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Prize money[edit]

The article lists a prize of 10,000,000 won / $11,000. Is the prize in fact for 10K won and the article simply giving a rough approximation in US$; or is the prize alternatively for one or the other? If the former, the figure needs to be up-dated ($10,000 ?). Kdammers (talk) 06:21, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I pulled the numbers directly from the PIFF website. The grammar's pretty poor, and I just paraphrased. But um... 10K won is like 10 USD. "man-won" it is green, use it like a ten dollar bill. DaronDierkes (talk) 09:57, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
