who to believe[edit]

it seems that there are three sites here with three different pictures in use. I can make an infobox based on emporis... but what about the other stuff? Whatever we are talking about, we'll need to move the article to one of those other titles. Is it the Lotte World II Hotel? That seems like the best title. Somebody second me and i will go with emporis. DaronDierkes (talk) 12:48, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to Emporis, the "Lotte World II Hotel", which is linked on this page as the Lotte Super Tower, has been canceled (i.e., "never built"). Are we even sure that this project is still active? -- Rai-me 16:27, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, we are not, but a great deal of fuss was made over it and it was continually redesigned. It seems like a lot of buildings in Seoul reach approval status only to be cancelled later and then a new proposal is made on the same space. Even if it is cancelled, there is probably something else in the pipeline. The fact is that Lotte World is on an extremely small plot for the amount of stuff that happens there. Expansion is assured. They closed last year for construction. They've broke ground on something. This is what confuses me about most buildings in Seoul, I hear the project is cancelled, but I still see the scaffolding going up. Since they build about four times faster than anything we do in North America the results are usually pretty clear pretty fast. (of course, i'm no longer in Seoul and google earth shuns updated pictures and labels on south korea for some reason). So the building on Emporis may not be active, but I bet the idea certainly is. Busan[edit]

maybe it would be fair to say that the project moved to Busan.  ??? DaronDierkes (talk) 08:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC) Busan Lotte Tower and this tower in Seoul were proposed and pursued concurrently, but the Busan tower is the only one making headway. Should this article just become a subsection on that article? As far as I know there is no direct connection. DaronDierkes (talk) 09:06, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Korean link to Seoul?[edit]

The link to the Korean version of the page points to the construction site of a project in Jamsil, a district of Seoul. ie. nothing to do with Busan. Needs to check this probably... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moiiiii (talkcontribs) 08:19, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
