Article title change proposal[edit]

The title of this article, CIHF-TV, denotes the callsign of the station of the network, Global Maritimes. However, ALL of Global Maritimes' rebroadcast transmitters are called CIHF-TV, with a number distinguishing them (CIHF-TV-2, CIHF-TV-3, etc.). None of these stations have their own article, just this article talking about the network as a whole. Therefore, I think it would be more appropriate if the article was renamed Global Maritimes, and the information in the article was changed appropriately. Just a thought. Fair use rationale for Image:GlobalMaritimes.png[edit]

Image:GlobalMaritimes.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

TV "personalities"[edit]

I have removed the list of TV personalities. Contrary to what I saw in an edit summary, those lists aren't "allowed." Wikipedia:WikiProject Television Stations states that "information on its personalities, past and present" is fine--but such information needs to be verified, esp. since it concerns, most likely, living people. Notable people (i.e., with WP articles) will presumably have articles with verified BLP info; listing non-notable people without any kind of reliable source is not OK: that falls foul of WP:BLP, on their side, as well as WP:NOTDIR, on the side of the TV station's article. I remember there was an argument over personalities a while ago somewhere on a Portland, OR station. It's here. Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(people)/Archive_2009#Television_personalities. Split article?[edit]

Given that Shaw is rebranding Global Maritimes into two separate names and that they're increasing the amount of separate news programming, I think it would make sense that CIHF-DT-2 (Global New Brunswick) be given its own article. Also, the CRTC already recognizes CIHF-DT-2 as a separate station[1] (This seems to have been the case since it first went on the air[2]) --Noname2 (talk) 20:58, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
