Picture[edit]

The photo used as illustration does not show cacio e pepe; it’s just boiled spaghetti with ground pepper and cheese grated over – horrible! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.115.9.231 (talk) 09:40, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, I just changed it to the picture used on the italian language version of the page. R0uge (talk) 21:26, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Modern[edit]

Cacio e pepe (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkaːtʃo e pˈpeːpe]) is a pasta dish from modern Roman cuisine.[1

The reference is for a 1930 book. I understand that it is "modern" as in not Ancient Rome or do you mean 20th century? --Error (talk) 22:24, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't write it, but the term "modern Roman cuisine" is usually used to distinguish it from the cuisine of Ancient Rome. Boni's cookbook is considered the most important manual about today's cooking in Rome. Alex2006 (talk) 16:00, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
