Can't for the life of me work out if MV Agusta is a subsidiary of Cagiva, or vice-versa. I see sites on the web that indicate both ways round. Anyone know definitively which is the parent? 84.9.33.143 09:33, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cagiva is the "parent" company. They currently own MV Agusta and Husqvarna, the latter is likely being sold to BMW, however, because of the name recognition, Cagiva uses MV Agusta as the name of the group. The Castiglioni brothers still run the show. From their website:

MV Agusta Motorcycles S.p.A. is the parent company, Castiglioni group bought MV Agusta in 91/92 (basically what they bought was the trademark). In 1999 the company was restructured. MV Agusta become the main brand comprising CAGIVA and Husqvarna. The Castiglioni brothers still run the company but for all intents and purposes the parent comapany is called MV Agusta Motorcycles S.p.A. Chris Ssk 09:53, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article says 1950, but the Cagiva website says 1987
