"Now, though, the city is finally taking action, but in a way that has aroused the fury of park advocacy groups."
ALT2:... that Calvert Vaux Park is located next to a boat graveyard near Coney Island with over two dozen ships? Source: NY Times 2006 "Behind the tall grass and trees of Calvert Vaux Park [...] is a nautical graveyard. Burned and rotting hulks of abandoned vessels jut from the dirty beach into the silted, sluggish water of Coney Island Creek." Side note: The thought of a boat graveyard in Coney Island (i.e. the Coney Island Creek) is pretty interesting to me, though the reviewer may disagree.
Overall: ALT0 really jumped out as interesting and well formatted. ALT1 isn't particularly interesting and ALT2 could use some work, particularly "next to a boat graveyard near". SounderBruce 02:55, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
