Forgotten great?[edit]

Unfortunately horses from the 19th century which didn't win a classic or make a big impact at stud tend to be forgotten, no matter how good they were, and Camarine was very, very good. By 1832 she was effectively killing any race she entered as the opposition rapidly found alternative engagements.  Tigerboy1966  18:55, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wins[edit]

When ennumerating Camarine's wins I am really using an anachronistic approach, but I can't see an alternative. My approach is to treat a walkover as a win, but to ignore occasions were a forfeit was paid. In the former case there was a race, but there happened to be only one runner. In the latter, the race never happened, and the "winner" didn't have to be present. I have used this method for all the articles I've started on old-time racehorses, I think I would call it the least bad option. Tigerboy1966  19:06, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
