Welcome[edit]

Hello, my name is Dom497 and I will be one of the many editors who will edit this page. Because the show has actually not started yet, any information you add to the article, please make sure you have a reference. Any information added without references will be deleted (until the show has reached the state like Americas Got Talent). Thank-you.--Dom497 (talk) 23:15, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Too Early[edit]

I believe this article is too early. Can't you wait for this show to actually happen before you make an article.Mike 289 20:22, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't create it... i just found it and decided to edit the page.--Dom497 (talk) 20:57, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got Talent WikiProject...Show Your Support!!![edit]

Hello, I have created a proposal on creating a WikiProject for the entire Got Talent series (Canada, America, Italy...every country that has the show!!!). If you are interested in joining this project, please go here and add your name to the list. I hope to get the project running as soon as possible, but I need a few committed people to help. I will be sending messages to people who have been editing the Got Talent articles in hopes of grabbing their attention. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!--Dom497 (talk) 21:08, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Season Overview[edit]

Can anyone tell me why there is a reference to Ryan Joyce's prediction? He isn't exactly a household name and I think that sentence should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.114.236.112 (talk) 23:39, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Season 2[edit]

Season 2 acts of Canada's Got Talent compete for $100,000, a trip to Trinidad and Tobago, a spot on Citytv's 2016 New Year's Eve Bash, a brand new Nissan GT-R, a performance in Sydney, London, Beijing, Las Vegas & Brasilia and a free meal from McDonald's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.29.228 (talk) 17:38, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

While I understand why a "Season 1" article was created, back in 2012 when it was running and nobody knew that it wasn't going to be renewed for any further seasons, now that we know that there wasn't and never will be a Season 2 I question whether we need a standalone "Season 1" article anymore — "Season 1" was the entire series, so I don't see the need for Canada's Got Talent and Canada's Got Talent (Season 1) to stand as two separate articles about the same thing. They should simply be merged into one article. Bearcat (talk) 05:11, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, there's no need for a separate article. PKT(alk) 14:48, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree, Who knows if there is Season 2 in the future, like Indonesia's Got Talent, when it was renewed for a second season after 6 years, there was a wiki page of Season 2 and a page for entire series with Season 1, and no one want to change it as that is complicated. So what I think is keep the Season 1 alone first. Bedco ChanT(alk) 20:41 4 September 2016 (UTC)
If there ever is a Season 2, then we can reorganize the content again as needed. But it would a WP:CRYSTAL violation to keep things organized this way just because a Season 2 is theoretically still possible someday — you obviously don't know Canadian TV very well if you think there's any serious possibility of that. Bearcat (talk) 22:47, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree - There won't be a second season due to low ratings, end of discussion. Hawkeye75 (talk) 21:19, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What the Heck?[edit]

I have actually been watching through the first season and I noticed that Jonah Berens is the not the name of ANY contestant and it's actually Emilio Fina who advanced in all the places where Jonah was. I am not sure why it has been kept like this for years. Tyler Michael Mannix (talk) 03:40, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
