Why was information critical of the flag removed? Jonathan David Makepeace 21:13, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited information. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 02:24, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

unclear sentence[edit]

Furthermore, the maple leaf was originally chosen as the symbol of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society, and does not include blue in this flag.

The last phrase is puzzling. What does not include blue, the maple leaf? the SJB flag? —Tamfang (talk) 18:14, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

rival account[edit]

Flagman Hank (talk) says – I paraphrase – that the article as it stands is a pack of lies. I reverted Hank's recent edits not because I know better but because Hank's version was so poorly written; I hope someone with knowledge will comment. —Tamfang (talk) 05:34, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the two versions, it's hard for this outsider to see much substantive difference. —Tamfang (talk) 06:33, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Symbolism of white[edit]

I removed the part The symbolism of the blue stripes... It's incorrect unless that was actually the symbolism used in 1965. Peter Grey (talk) 08:58, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Red and White was used as the colours of the Canadian flag because they are the official colours of Canada. Red was taken from England's flag to represent English-Canada, White was taken from France's flag to represent French-Canada. The statement you removed was correct, the symbolism of the blue stripes is redundant as French Canada is already represented from the White centre. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.30.88 (talk) 08:33, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps, but given that England's flag is both red and white, it seems arbitrary to assume that the white only stands for French Canada. The blue more unambiguously represents them. 108.254.160.23 (talk) 02:48, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Search for Canadian Flag in google and this comes up - this should NOT be the case. It's not an official flag and never will be. As a Canadian, I find it offensive it's even here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Canadian143 (talkcontribs) 17:58, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article begins: "The Canadian Duality Flag (also called the Canadian Unity Flag) is an unofficial flag...." This is unambiguous. There is no problem here. Encyclopedias do not delete articles one the basis of one person being unreasonably offended. Ground Zero | t 19:02, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
