Poverty Rate[edit]

The comments on poverty rate need to be made clearer. Near the end of "Demographics," some numbers are provided that seem to reflect the current state of the CDP pretty accurately. Then, however, some 2007-2008 figures are provided which quote a much higher poverty rate. These figures are less relevant to the current state of the CDP; while the high numbers from the housing crisis era are interesting, they should be better placed in context. A section on the mortgage crisis of 2007-2008 and its effects on Candle-McAfee might be a good read, but data from this era should not be allowed to supersede more current data.
