Two short stubs of a closely related subject matter. As the camp seems to take up a major chunk of the island, it is an easy candidate for a merge. SounderBruce 07:00, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Support, I just tagged the first one as promotional/non-notable. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:29, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No opinion. Fine either way by me. Jaredroach (talk) 17:34, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deception Pass[edit]

Apparently "Pass Island" in the middle of Deception Pass has also been known as "Canoe Island". https://anacortes.pastperfectonline.com/bysearchterm?keyword=Pass%20Island — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaredroach (talkcontribs) 18:54, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Military Reserves[edit]

"Ultimately, the military reserves in the San Juan Islands were never used..."

I don't think this is true. American Camp on San Juan Island either was actually on a military reserve or abutted one. It definitely used the reserve, if for nothing else than providing wood to American Camp. There is a complicated story about how the family of a soldier (Jakle) had a land dispute concerning the reserve. All now part of San Juan Island National Historical Park. So maybe none of the other six reserves were used, but this the one on San Juan Island was apparently used. Jaredroach (talk) 16:38, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
