Carea Leonés → Leonese Shepherd per WP:USEENGLISH. William Harristalk 08:47, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Support per nom. Cavalryman (talk) 09:42, 5 March 2020 (UTC).[reply]
  • Comment per WP:COMMONNAME. My cursory search reveals that, in English sources, "Carea Leonés" is quite frequently used, also "Leonese Shepherd", "Leonese Sheepdog" and "Leonese Pastor". Which is the best, I don't know, but there are alternatives (one of which is to stet). Certainly the link should blue, but if the common name in English is "Carea Leonés" then that is what we should call it. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 02:59, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The issue is not one of sources, it is one of WP:RELIABLE sources. A Google search will show a number of entries for each of these names, but I do not regard them as reliable. William Harristalk 11:06, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cmt Indeed! And what are the reliable English-language sources that use the proposed title? Are there more of them than of those that use the Spanish-language name? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:54, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your guidance, and you are correct, the Spanish name is used more often than the English translation in English sources, therefore I am going to withdraw this move request. (At least we have achieved a secondary-sourced English name for the article.) William Harristalk 21:07, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To the Reviewer - I withdraw my move request. William Harristalk 21:08, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
