Oppose. Dates of birth are not recommended qualifiers. The current title is fine since it distinguishes this title from Carlos Hank González and a hatnote there fully explains the relationship. If this article's qualifier must be changed, Carlos Hank González (banker) would be a better choice. Station1 (talk) 07:10, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
SupportCarlos Hank González (businessman, born 1971). The current disambiguator is no disambiguator whatsoever, but when we disambiguate by YOB (and we certainly do) we also usually add the occupation. The elder González also seems to have been a banker, so that is no disambiguator either. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:36, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support per LaundryPizza, they were/are both notable businessmen so not the best choice of disambiguation. Acousmana 19:51, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Note that we never usually use simply a year of birth or death in a disambiguator. Just not standard practice. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:19, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
well, whatever is chosen, needs to be an improvement on 'businessman.' Acousmana 19:13, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Dates are poor disambiguators. One is most notable as a politician, the other as a businessman. Besides, the disambibuator is not normally displayed in links, the exception is on the dab page or hatnotes where there is no confusion. MB 22:11, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's irrelevant. You can't disambiguate someone using the profession of someone else with the same name. That's no disambiguation at all. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:47, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. WP:RECENTISM. "Sr." was not a notable businessman and "Jr." is not (and will never be) as relevant as his grandfather. (CC)Tbhotch™ 14:53, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
