Date of publication[edit]

The date of publication for his mandolin method has been given as 1869 and 1874. However, the 1869 date comes from a book written in 1914, The Guitar and Mandolin by Philip J. Bone, and no source was given by the writer. The date 1874 comes from an 1875 newspaper that reported the publication as being the previous year. Rather than try to choose, I am putting this note up and going with the source closest to the event.Jacqke (talk) 23:34, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
