Are these in cronological order?

some of those on the list aren't even cartoon cartoons at all like IGPX, teen titans, the cramp twins and what's new scooby doo?. --Phil 07:06, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Problem with definition of the term

the only authentic cartoon cartoons are the ones that originally began with the, to lack a better expression, "dum dum dum dum dum dum dum (character says) cartoon cartoons!" and the ones that aired on cartoon cartoon fridays. --Phil 12:37, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

can people stop putting "Friday's" cartoons, and the other non real, stupid, just weird, "not what cartoon network used to be" cartoons. They just can't be considered that, because they aren't real--70.181.67.164 23:23, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

All right, I'm going to take it to start cleaning up this category, by removing non-Cartoon Cartoons. Whoever created this category apparently thought that any cartoon that was produced for Cartoon Network is a "Cartoon Cartoon", when that is not the case. SterlingNorth 06:17, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

!!!PLEASE READ THIS!!!

The article dosent explain how exactly a show qualifies. It seems people put the list together arbitraially. Pacific Coast Highway (blahtypa-typa) 20:24, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

A cartoon on Cartoon Network is a Cartoon Cartoon if it is original programming that has its new episodes premiere during the Fridays (formerly Cartoon Cartoon Fridays) programming block. Cartoons such as Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls are Cartoon Cartoons as they meet these criteria. Other Cartoon Network original programming, such as Ben 10, Immortal Grand Prix, or Megas XLR, are not Cartoon Cartoons because they are shown during other programming blocks and they did not premiere on Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. Ryulong 04:59, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Granted that system was valid before the 2004 revamp, beacuse the shows were (heavily) branded that way. But currently, new episodes are all over the week's schedule, sometimes exclusive of the Fridays block, while that same show might also have regular airings on Fridays. I think the term might be more suitable to describe things before the revamp, and not in the present. Pacific Coast Highway (blahtypa-typa) 05:39, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Still, the majority of new Cartoon Cartoons are aired during the Friday night block. My Gym Partner's a Monkey, a show that premiered last year, is one of such shows that still fit the criteria. Ryulong 00:13, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
After looking over things, this may be a matter of original research. What I mean is that, someone can present concrete proof that a show in 2004 was a Cartoon Cartoon, beacause it explicitly was. Past that point, it's not so direct anymore, with the exception of those still appearing on the Cartoon Cartoon show. Pacific Coast Highway (blahlol, internet) 14:09, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
I see what you mean by that. A short search for Cartoon Cartoons at the TV.com forums has someone mentioning that anything past 2003 is not a cartoon cartoon because Cartoon Network has ceased using the terminology. Shows such as Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi and My Gym Partner's a Monkey may meet the criteria as the other Cartoon Cartoons, but since the network itself doesn't even use "Cartoon Cartoon" anymore, they probably should not count as Cartoon Cartoons. I'm not sure if removing the series that premiered in 2004 would be beneficial, though. Ryulong 09:41, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
  • They aren't CCs, but I could just see Jake Spidermonkey popping out of the "O" and saying "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays!" WizardDuck 23:27, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I do not see any problem with such a merger. If anything, what little information in the stub could become a simple sentence like where "The Cartoon Cartoon Show" is listed. Ryulong 01:38, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge completed - the single paragraph that was the source merge article has been copied in its entirety so no relevant content has been lost. ~ Matticus78 20:21, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

What are not Cartoon Cartoons?

Please, do NOT revert back to:

Cartoon Network has produced original animation since Dexter's Laboratory. However, not all original animated series are Cartoon Cartoons.

List Edit

I edited the list so it includes ALL the cartoon cartoons, stopping at 2004 when the network stopped using the moniker. I also added the studios that produced each. I also took away the Blanky Blook studio, at the top, because I could find no existence of it on the net or the cartoon which it produced. The only studios that produced the cartoon cartoons were Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network Studios, a.k.a. Cartoon, Kinofilm Studios, and Curious Pictures. Nothing else.

EDIT:Please don't change it back, it is much more efficient and accurate as it was. Also, just because I added new shows to the list doesn't mean any new cartoon network original is a cartoon cartoon. Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner, etc, are not cartoon cartoons because they were all produced after 2003. All the cartoon cartoons I added are real and produced before 2003. Thank you. 24.186.101.182 18:16, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

About Samurai Jack

I'm a huge fan of Cartoon Cartoons, in fact I may be the biggest fan. Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if Samurai Jack can be considered a Cartoon Cartoon. I'm ignoring that "action-oriented" comment becuase The Powerpuff Girls were action. So can someone please add him or can I do it?CN Guy (talk) 16:34, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Samurai Jack isn't a cartoon cartoon. There is definitely some trouble with Samurai Jack. I agree with you in saying that Samurai Jack can't be called non-cartoon cartoon just because it's action-oriented, but if you truly are the greatest fan of cartoon cartoons, you probably will remember the little bumper that would be shown before every cartoon cartoon was shown. You know, the bumparum bumparum, bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum Bumparum Bumparum Bum! Cartoon Cartoons! Thing. Yea, you know, with the red and yellow ribbons and the blue background. Well Samurai Jack didn't have that. A lot of people think Samurai Jack's a cartoon cartoon because it aired on CCF, but it's not. 69.113.225.164 (talk) 20:53, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes he did. I remember him having one.CN Guy (talk) 20:46, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

OT to the headline but related to what you said in the middle there and statements in the artical.. They just used that cartoon cartoon bumper on fosters like a few seconds ago yet its listed as not a cartoon cartoon is there anywhere from cartoon network itself that explicitly states what is and isnt? --71.131.31.58 (talk) 21:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Ed Edd n Eddy End

Hasn’t Ed Edd n Eddy ended? I know it has, though I can’t give an exact date, although the graph toward the bottom of the page claims that the series’ end date is “present.” Does anyone have the specifics? I should probably check the article on the show, just to see if it has a definitive end date there. --BaKa-NEKO (talk) 03:59, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Ah, perhaps I misunderstood something. So the animation is simply being postponed? Don’t mind me, then. --BaKa-NEKO (talk) 04:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Good ol' EEnE, nobody knows if it's finished off yet but most are running on the assumption of a final season or a feature length episode coming at the end of the year. Sadly, Wikipedia doesn't run on the fumes of assumption so we're left to say "present" because we have no proof eitherway. treelo radda 10:12, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

The image needs to be replaced

It is of a very poor quality and resembles a YouTube screengrab at standard definition. Paper Luigi TalkContributions 02:06, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

List

I noticed in the list that Evil Con Carne and Billy & Mandy's premiere dates were wrong. The premiere dates were the same as the Grim & Evil premiere date. Grim & Evil is not the same series as Billy and Mandy and Con Carne, only the original series. The two are standalone TV shows. Second, I noticed that The Powerpuff Girls' end date was wrong too. 2009 was not the official ending of the series, only a special celebrating its 10th birthday aired. It officially ended in 2005. So, please do not change these back. Thanks StaleCupcakes (talk) 22:28, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Something I'd like to say

Hello, I would just like to confirm something. As an animator, I have been working at Cartoon Network for quite a while, and I would like to confirm two shows that are Cartoon Cartoons: Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and Camp Lazlo. We were already having plans to stop titling our shows "Cartoon Cartoons" after we changed the programming block to "Fridays", so we officially ended the use of the name in August 2005. Thank you for your time. CN9361 (talk) 00:24, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

I've added the image from Commons. The logo is not free since most logos are copyrighted. My mom told me to be careful about it since it would hurt the author. Could be replaced with screenshot of title card if there is a better one. JJ98 (Talk) 10:01, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
