Objections to this page are ill-founded due to a number of reasons including:

Over the last eight years the remarkable rise in popularity of the Poker Variation 'Texas Holdem' was symbiotically associated with its adaptations which found their way into Casinos and On-Line Gaming from the year 2000. These adaptations, being essentially gambler against the House, were examples of the cultural change in attitude not only to poker itself but also to Gambling. Indeed the extent of this climate change famously led to the US Act of Congress which effectively outlawed on-line poker, or at least the transfer of money gambled in 'Cyber-Space'.

The first adaptation of Texas Hold'em to hit live and on-line Casinos as a House Game was Casino Hold'em (devised by Stephen Au-Yeung and marketed by TCS-John Huxley) in 2000. Other House Game variations which followed in later years includes 'WSOP Texas Hold'em Bonus', 'Ultimate Texas Hold'em' and 'Two-Way Holdem Poker'.

The importance of the House Game in helping to develop Global interest in Texas Hold'em Poker should not be under-appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chifat (talkcontribs) 23:05, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did a bit of a cleanup[edit]

Removed sections that weren't encyclopedic, and changed some of the language so we are no longer lifting the whole page from Wizard of Odds. Also, I tried to make the page not require as much knowledge of gambling terms. Prokhorovka (talk) 18:54, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
