Some further justification for moving this entry from Cavaco[edit]

Some further justification for moving this entry from Cavaco:

  • cavaco + instrument :: over six hundered hits on Google
  • cavaquinho + instrument :: over six thousand hits

UKULELE[edit]

The turning on the 'ukulele is G C E A, but with C being an octave lower while the others are ascending. --Mamoahina 14:04, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-organized, + cuarto[edit]

Hello re-editors:

I have just made a major re-organization & reformatting of the article, including a couple new pictures from other articles.

The perhaps-controversial addition that I made is to insert comparisons to the cuatro (Venezuela), calling it like a Brazilian cavaquinho, but with a neck like a Portuguese cavaquinho. Please inspect and wreck havoc according to your best judgement.

Music[edit]

This article is incomplete without some description of the sort of music that would have traditionally been played on this instrument with samples. 209.93.146.110 (talk) 07:45, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
