ARCM and Hon RAM etc[edit]

Honorary letters are handled inconsistently in Wikipedia. ARCM has a page of its own, LRAM has a page of its own, ARAM takes you direct to the Royal Academy page. So when I needed to link to "Hon RAM" for this article, I created a redirect to the Royal Academy page. Is this right? The problem with such a link is that you then have to search the whole Royal Academy page for the explanation of what Hon RAM means. How should this be handled consistently in Wikipedia?
