The school also doubles as a hotel, as an extended wing to the building. 69.26.81.117 (talk) 03:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Centennial College (Ontario)Centennial College — I don't really see why the title is disambiguated, when Centennial College re-directs to it. Doesn't really make sense, so I'd like for it to be moved. —GreenJoe 03:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Context: the article was moved on June 12, 2006 by User:Cpastern, with the edit summary "need to disambiguate"; by reviewing Cpastern's other edits at the time, it would appear that there is a Centennial College in Montreal. He added that link to List of colleges in Quebec, but left the plain title as a redirect after doing the move instead of turning it into a dab apge. The one in Quebec still doesn't have an article, as you can see. So I took a look at its web page, and it appears to be a college in the Cégep sense of the word. Although I think a CAAT probably should get name precedence over a cégep, I'm not going to express a personal opinion as to whether to move this back to the plain title or make that a disambiguation page instead, but thought that the background to this one should be made clear. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
  • Support. A Google search indicates that the Toronto community college is the primary use of the name. I also note that the Montreal college has an enrollment of 104, whereas the Toronto college has 12,000 full time and 28,000 part time students. A DAB line at the top of the Toronto college article would be helpful, though. Skeezix1000 (talk) 13:35, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per my own nomination. GreenJoe 13:56, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per the stats found by Skeezix. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 19:57, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Skeezix. DAB link is questionable since it would be red, leave it out until Centennial College (Quebec) gets created. Franamax (talk) 09:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

Any additional comments:

While this particular instance, it is hard to say that Centennial in Montreal should have equal or greater precedence because it is a CEGEP vs CAAT, because of the ~100 enrollment figure, in general, I would not say that, unless it offers Bachelors degrees. In general the vocational CEGEP and CAAT are very similar. 70.55.85.35 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 04:50, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is NO Centennial College in Montreal, Quebec. There is a private college in Montreal known as Centennial Academy. It should not be using the name Centennial College, which belongs to the Ontario public college by that name in Toronto (Scarborough), Ontario. Mtoljagic (talk) 21:26, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Slight NPOV Issue[edit]

Can the wording be a little bit more neutral to the campuses of Centennial College? Just to further comply with Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy. Tibbydibby (talk) 18:48, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
