Locomotive J33-3 predates 1974 founding of Central Iowa Rwy[edit]

I am unable to get that link to work but if it's the photo I am familiar with it was taken by William S. Kuba and appears in January 1974 TRAINS page 14. Given the lead time (the magazine would have been out in December 1973) it was likely taken in 1973. Not 1953. There is also a reference to a newsline item the prior October. As for J33-3, the photo caption says it had been BN 78 which I looked up and that was originally CB&Q. Bottom line is that the CIR people gave it the J33-3 number but the startup date in this article may be incorrect. 76.150.105.97 (talk) 17:52, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
