High School[edit]

Although there is a Centreville High school, it is in Clifton not Centreville. Wierd yes, but that is the case.Hokiefan 16:56, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jayson Blair and Centreville High School[edit]

Can we get this verified?

Zidel333 04:02, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about this?
"When he was six years old, his family began the first of a series of moves that would take him to Texas, Georgia, and eventually back to the suburbs of Washington, DC, where the family settled in Centreville, Virginia.
"There, Blair attended Centreville High School, where he became involved with the school newspaper and developed a passion for journalism."

A secondary source would be preferred, especially given the nature of Blair's current fame, but this primary one is a start, at least. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 11:36, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bluebell Colony[edit]

Centreville has one of the largest colonies of bluebells on the entire east coast. The area itselfin question is in Bull Run Regional Park which has a Centreville address. It should be added to the article somehow. Random number changes[edit]

If there are any regular editors monitoring this page, please note that for several months, anonymous editors have been randomly changing the thousands digits of dollar and population numbers. These changes do not appear to have been reverted in at least some cases, making this article factually wrong and getting worse. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:24, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. Zidel333 18:37, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mass murderers[edit]

Are they really famous? Greswik 15:26, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buried Gold in Centreville[edit]

Apparently, there is a 250 year old rumor that General Edward Braddock may have burried 2 cannons and something like $40,000 in gold before he died in what is modern day Centreville. There are some citable articles to substainaite this peice of history.

Civil War Photo[edit]

The photo provided for the Civil War section is not a photo that is readily identifiable as being of Centreville, Virginia. Also, the photo caption corresponds to the previous photo that was removed from the page. There are other Civil War photos available that show Centreville buildings and fortifications, such as the previous photo. I recommend that the previous photo be reinstated. Foxfire5 (talk) 14:23, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, so, I restored the earlier photo. It matches the caption and shows more of Centreville. --Kenatipo speak! 21:26, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The first place to check is the linked topic; the second is in their given sources. Suggest you start there (and move back the majority of the list). Tedickey (talk) 11:49, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation issues[edit]

This article, and the Centerville, Virginia (disambiguation) article both have the same names despite redirecting from two different places. This is wrong, and should be fixed. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 14:20, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
