Mayor of Warwick[edit]

The Earl of Warwick hosted King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in Warwick Castle in 1951, but was not Mayor of Warwick at the time. My grandfather, Thomas Taylor Bromwich, was Mayor from 1949 to 1951, and greeted the Royal Family as such. The Earl became Mayor himself later in 1951. This can be verified in the Warwick and Warwickshire Advertiser for 1951. Jennifer Jones (nee Bromwich)

in fiction[edit]

Perhaps he gave P. G. Wodehouse the idea of an earl who sold his castle to an American and moved to Hollywood to play butlers. —Tamfang (talk) 17:29, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
