Is the "Dream Doctor" a doctor?[edit]

... or is this just a puff piece? The article seems un-encyclopedic. Paulburnett (talk) 18:55, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article states the following. He graduated from Princeton University in 1985. He also held a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Southern California (1990). He received his board certification to perform polysomnographic testing for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in 1992. So, no, he is not a "real" doctor. He did not attend medical school to obtain an MD, nor did he obtain a doctorate (Ph.D.). From a medical point of view, he was probably a polysomnographic technician (that is, a trained technician in a sleep study lab). I assume that the term "Doctor" was just his moniker for the radio show. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 20:17, 17 May 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Hello. I’m Ella McPhee, his daughter. He was a dream doctor. What he said was true. He never had a Ph.D, that was his stage name. But he knew all about dreams. Thanks.
