Duchess of York[edit]

"In 1890, William brought his new wife to England, where the Duchess of York commented ..." In 1890, there was no such person as the Duchess of York--the future George V was created Duke only in 1892, and married the following year. Either the date is wrong, it's really one of the other royal duchesses doing the commenting, or this should to be reworded to use the title the lady actually had in 1890 (Princess Victoria Mary of Teck) or the highest title she would attain ("the future Queen Mary commented ..."). I don't have access to the source, however, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Biblioteqa (talk) 00:38, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I should have access to the source in question within a week or two. I will verify (I suspect it should say simply Princess Mary of Teck). Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 03:11, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
