CC-BY 4.0 material from U of Cambridge[edit]

Well, I lucked out and found a whole CC-By article on this at the U of Cambridge website. I only slightly modified it. It doesn't have exactly the same style that we do and might be too detailed. I'll encourage others to trim it a bit and restate some things. Note that the article as it stands is not plagiarism or a copyright violation, because the material is fully attributed and complies with the CC-By license. Modification is specifically allowed.
