This article needs to be improved, as it reads almost as an advertisement for Charwell[edit]

This page ought be reviewed by a more experienced Wikipedia editor, as I think parts of it read excessively as an advertisement, if not as an Advertorial.

Problems abound, for example, the dubious verifiability of references: the paragraph proclaiming that Cherwell Service Management has been accredited as the "first service desk software solution in the world to be compliant with its international service desk metrics and reporting standard", by some obscure organisation, the Service Desk Institute. This "accomplishment" is documented with with a link to a page in Australia, owned by Cherwell itself!

In 2015 Cherwell took over technology support at a state university where I work, and after a few months all the faculty who had used Cherwell services and with whom I had a chance to speak with, were dissatisfied with the changes. Therefore I came here to Wikipedia to see if I could find a general justification for outsourcing to Cherwell a critical service, which in our case used to work relatively well. It was not perfect, but it was much better that what it is now. To my surprise I only found an article mostly listing shallow accomplishments by Cherwell.

This in contrast with a simple, casual web search of Chernwell resulting in poor reviews about this company. For example, this page about "software as a service ", reports that a review of Cherwell's on-premises project management software "came up cold -- none of the products" a certain company considered, integrated well with Cherwell.

(above unsigned comment seems to be from 2016) Agree, so let us fix it, please. W Nowicki (talk) 20:27, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
