2009 Camaro

With the official announcement of the Camaro going into production again for the 2009 model year, there's not a lot of info in the article that is outdated. An example would be comments like "with the Camaro's demise in 2002". These kinds of things are no longer valid. I have already started cleaning up everything, but it's something we should all keep in mind when editing going forward. Roguegeek 20:12, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Missing Model Years

Why are some years, such as 1971, 1976, and 1979, not included in the chronological rundown? Crabapplecove 00:23, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm guessing info has just not been put in yet. Bothers me too, but I don't know enough about the missing years to fill in info. Hopefully someone will take care of it soon. Roguegeek 19:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

No, the chronological timeline is correct. Some years Chevy did not make Camaros. Often times the year it was created takes up the next year when it is produced. Such as the 2007 Suburban was created in 2005/2006 but took the name as the 2007 Suburban. Supersam1693 13:07, 14 August 2006

I'll second that, the Camaro never skipped a single year of production from 1967-2002. The Corvette only skipped one (1983). The Suburban, as far as I know, hasn't skipped one since at least the early 1960's. And of course the 2007 Suburban was designed during 2005-06; production didn't start until 2006, and it came out as a 2007 model largely because it was 'too late' for an '06, and they had already sold '06 Tahoes / Suburbans / etc using the older platform. There are 3 pictures of the 1st generation Camaro, but none of the 2nd or 3rd generation... is this biased?

35th Anniversary Edition

We are in serious need of factual information about what specifically was delivered with the 35th Anniversary Edition option and on which cars it was available. The article originally stated that it was only for the SS, but my '02 Z28 has the 35th AE package, including the dash plaque and stripe kit (not installed; still in GM packaging and set safely aside.) I have also seen the base (V6) model with the 35h AE option as well.

Can someone please provide legitimate sources that tell what exactly the package consisted of? Option code? Stuff like that is needed. I'm more than happy to do the writing if someone else will do the research or at least point me in the right direction. --BRossow 18:21, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Infobox improvement?

I think it would be terrific if someone took it upon himself/herself to add the various generations in infobox format to this page. Here's the template: Template:Infobox Automobile generation. New generations - meant to piss on their heratige?

Why is it that they have totally gone against the body shape of the camero from the 90s onwards?? Its given up its sporty looks to look like a freaking bmw? why? Jackpot Den 23:26, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Um...what? The fourth-generation Camaro looks like a catfish (and I say that with my family having owned two, a '94 and a '01). Hardly sporty. I also don't see the BMW, unless your automotive tastes are such that anything with round headlights mounted in a vertical, rectangular grille automatically is a Bavarian überwagen. It's quite clearly taking its design cues from the '67-'69, which is regarded by the majority of the automotive world as the best looking Camaro bar none. Optispark

Anyone mind me turning OptiSpark into a wiki link so it can refer to it's own page? - JonnyRo. I dont know much about it, but came to wikipedia looking for the term and found it only in this article. A friend of refitting an LT1 that came with an optispark setup.

Production numbers

Could someone who knows how make the production numbers for each generation into little breakout boxes that sit on the right side of the page near the top of each generation's section?
