Just Where was Chicken Cottage Founded?[edit]

This article states that Chicken Cottage was founded in Croydon, but on the wiki-entry for Wembley, Middlesex, it states that it was founded in Wembley... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.211.21.10 (talk) 09:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes the information on this page is correct and it was founded in Croydon. I was going to become a franshiser for Chicken Cottage and opted against it, but i did do a lot of research and was in contact with its head office which is how i learnt a lot more about the company. --Nostromo13 20:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "history" section of the Chicken Cottage website says their first outlet was in Wembley. Ralabaf (talk) 15:53, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an advertisement[edit]

Is this a proper Wikipedia entry?

I agree, I'm editing some of the Kiddie's Corner as what is written is ridulous: "G is for good food (can't dispute that)" Come on people this is not a free advert site. --gottago 15:42, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, most of the content needs removing. Deckchair 09:08, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, the article has been amended by contributor ChickenCottage so that it merely points towards their website and avoids any level of criticism of the brand. The submissions about poor environmental health in two of their London outlets is a valid addition as it demonstrates that the chain had poor levels of control and inspection of the franchies bearing their name. The state of the food preparation areas in the BBC programme was the result of long term neglect that would have been identified and remedied if adequate levels of franchise control were in operation.--Ralabaf (talk) 15:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, the history section is written in the 1st person perspective, indicating that this is either a 'copy and paste' job from corporate literature or an employee has written it. --Panzer71 (talk) 11:44, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Joke?[edit]

Surely this wikipedia entry is a joke. The article shows Key people as Lou Gosset Jr Chief Executive officer, Lou Diamond Philips Chief Financial Officer, Mario Von Peebles Chief Operating Officer. Furthermore it states that there are 187,000 employees world wide. Also it reads like a piece of promotional literature for this company.

Most of this article needs re-writing. Hold on, most of this article needs deleting. Deckchair 12:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i really don't see how the names of individuals can be seen as a joke and i don't see any reason why a multinational company wouldn't have that amount of employees. Just because Chicken cottage doesn't operate In North America (extensively) there is no reason to dispute that.

Thank you for your unsigned comments. Have you tried searching wikipedia for who those names actually are? Do a search and then you may understand why i state that it is a joke. If you need help, they all seem to be famous actors/celebrities. As for the number of employees try doing some simple maths. Divide the number of staff by the number of branches and then tell me that there is no reason to dispute the figure. As an ex customer of their "flagship" Tooting branch I will be extremely happy for you to prove me wrong. Deckchair 00:44, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

signing a comment really only has any use if you are actually are a "regular" editor as i'm not whether i sign or not is inconsequential. The store numbers are something that I assumed were untrue rather than the amount of employees, considering the growth of many other franchises in the middle east I wouldn't be surprised if there were indeed a vast number of chicken cottage stores in that region.

If the figures are based on assumptions then it is probably best they are removed. Deckchair 09:03, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Store Loacations[edit]

The official Chicken Cottage website does not show any stores located in Denmark or The Netherlands therefore i will remove these from the list. Deckchair (talk) 10:05, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Change of franchiser[edit]

The chicken cottage on north end road is no longer a part of the chicken cottage franchise, it should be changed to another chicken cottage, such as the original in 274 Ealing Road, Wembley. Also suggest adding a section about the recent change of franchisers to "chicken hub" for many of the locations. 2A02:6B62:D046:0:3CD1:3BA1:1D12:B8BE (talk) 01:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
