– full official name[1] inline with Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff 223.123.88.252

full official name[2] inline with Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (talk) 20:15, 13 July 2023 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Skarmory (talk • contribs) 06:48, 14 July 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 07:57, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Both of these fail WP:COMMONNAME. This is a WP:PCM. If you wish to continue with your request, click the discuss link in your request to begin a formal WP:RM discussion. Once you've done that, or if you do not wish to continue, please remove your request. Thanks! As you are an IP user, this request will be removed in 1 day. - UtherSRG (talk) 20:27, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@UtherSRG: i don't think Common Name criteria applies here, Please see Chief of the Air Staff 14 out of 10 contains official name with(the) in titles, and also Pakistan Navy's & Air Force's Second, Third, and Fourth level command posts alredy contains full name with(the) in titles. 223.123.88.183 (talk) 03:47, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
COMMONNAME should always be considered, and if a request fails to be the common name, it should usually go through a full requested move. It's possible the other articles sren't following COMMONNAME, or consistency could be deemed to be less important than what the most common name is – there's a lot of nuances involved. These moves could also get consensus, just there is basis to oppose, which means it's not uncontroversial. A full requested move may be started using the discuss link above. @Skarmory: Kindly also see this, I searched both on Google and it shows 75,000,000 most results of "Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan"[3], and 68,800,000 results of the "Chief of Air Staff Pakistan"[4] now it's clear which one is the common name and plus+ i already provided official name evidence and other Second, Third, Fourth posts articles are also using official names. 223.123.85.101 (talk) 06:14, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The technical requests section of requested moves is only for uncontroversial requests. This is controversial and has been contested, and I have started a full requested move as such. I make no comment on whether the page should be moved or not. (By the way, those links give me 55,700,000 and 55,600,000 results respectively; raw numbers over about 1,000 are estimates and untrustworthy, and at this scale there are going to be so many false positives anyway that a raw google hit count won't be reliable. Wikipedia:Search engine test is probably worth reading.) Skarmory (talk • contribs) 06:42, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
