Untitled[edit]

Am a bit nervy about inclusion of these lyrics in full like this. Might there not be a copyright problem?.....thought Dave G had admitted that this song was directly influenced by Clarke's novel of the same name; I know the band are all big fans of his Martyn Smith 12:10, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. Including the lyrics is generally a copyvio. I'll remove them. -albrozdude 23:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The book[edit]

It says "The lyrics may have been influenced" by the book, then immediately goes on to say, "The lyrics themselves distinctly recount" the book. Can't have it both ways. And that bit about "Time" should be cited or taken out. It's just somebody's opinion. I'm sure you could find people who think all of Pink Floyd's songs sound like "Time". 71.175.33.164 (talk) 18:37, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to fix the problem, if you know which is correct. As for the "Time" sentence, it has had a "citation needed" tag since January. Since nobody has responded, you can go ahead and remove the sentence. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 22:35, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why would need to be cited?! Listen to the music and compare the lyrics!
You would have to have access to the book, too. That's WP:OR - Original research, and will likely result in the edit being reverted. (Do we need to keep explaining the basic concept of Wikipedia?) As a demonstration: the uncited sentence is history! --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 19:14, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
