Fifth album release date[edit]

Genre[edit]

All i know is chimaira is a thrash metal not heavy metal becuase if you look to www.myspace.com/chimaira and look it up on genre it s say metal /thrash / crunk on google or on up website , but i dont think chimaira are genre crunk the real genre is thrash metal and metalcore not heavy metal and crunk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jacker45 (talk • contribs) 11:16, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The leads in articles should be to the point and in general with no great detail (see: WP:LEAD). In this case, the band is the heavy metal type so this usage of heavy metal is put there so that it encompasses all their genres in one. Industrial Metal[edit]

Shouldnt Industrial Metal be included as a genre considering they use a shitload of synths and other industrial metal aspects?

I dont know if my question above or the title will revert back, i accidently typed in instrumental where i meant to type in INDUSTRIAL

Not Metalcore[edit]

Totally agree. They have a bit of influence from metalcore, but it doesn't make them metalcore. Bands like Killswitch Engage, Caliban, All That Remains, these are metalcore bands and Chimaira's music is not even similar. It think Chimaira's music is some modern thrashy metal with some hardcore. But the fact is that they ARE NOT METALCORE. People just like to label bands metalcore, when they don't know how to describe their genre. Inclusion Of Turing Members[edit]

Should Emil Werstler of Daath be included in a touring members section of the band members list for someone who was filling in whilst Matt DeVries was away whilst expecting a baby with his girlfriend???

Definitely NOT nu-metal[edit]

Dubious edits[edit]

In these 3 edits a new user removed what looks like valid content. I have reverted these changes. I encountered this while looking at the user's contributions for another matter.
